Terms of Service

Effective date: March 10, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lunery Lab (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lunery Lab is a local-first AI visual creation platform that helps users create images, videos, and visual assets using desktop workflows, user-owned model providers, local runtimes, and compatible endpoints. The Service includes a studio for generation, a canvas for editing, and tools for managing creative assets.

3. Local Use

  • You are responsible for the prompts, uploads, provider connections, local models, and outputs you create through the Service.
  • You are responsible for securing your own device, local model files, and any provider keys or compatible endpoints you configure.

4. Open Source Distribution

  • The desktop Studio is distributed as open-source software under the MIT License.
  • The desktop Studio does not require account activation, subscription, or a platform-managed balance to run.
  • If you use third-party AI providers, local models, or compatible endpoints, their own licenses, costs, and terms remain your responsibility.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates the rights of others.
  • Generate content depicting minors in inappropriate situations.
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights of third parties.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service or other users' access.
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created in contexts where such disclosure is required.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your content: you retain ownership of the prompts, reference images, and other materials you provide to the Service.
  • Generated content: subject to the terms of the underlying AI model providers, you own the images and videos you generate through the Service for commercial and personal use.
  • Service IP: the Service, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of Lunery Lab.

7. Third-Party AI Providers and Local Runtimes

The Service may use third-party AI providers, user-owned API keys, local models, local runtimes, or OpenAI-compatible endpoints that you configure. We do not guarantee the availability, quality, cost, or output of any specific provider or local model. Each provider's terms of service and acceptable use policies also apply to content generated through their models.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lunery Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email.
